How Herb’s Cares About the DFW Community

Share

At Herb’s Paint and Body, we’re always striving to give you the best service in the industry. From dent repair and bodywork to paint touch-ups, we want you to know you’re a valued member of our family. Our commitment to you and the community doesn’t stop there. Since 1956, we’ve given our financial resources and time to help those less fortunate, save the environment, improve our local educational system, and spread positive messages and information.

Herb's Paint & Body Community Involvement

Herb’s Paint and Body Down Syndrome Guild Golf Classic

Herb's Golf ClassicFounded in 1993, the Herb’s Paint and Body Down Syndrome Guild Golf Classic is an annual charity golf event that raises money for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. Over the past 10 years, this event has raised more than $500,000 for these families, easing their financial burden.

During this time, we’ve also paired with the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas, a local organization that provides parental support for families with babies or young children with Down Syndrome.

Painting the Town Green

waterborne finishesAs the Native American proverb goes, “We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors. We borrow it from our children.” With this thought in mind, we’re always striving to find ways to become eco-friendlier and to spread the message to other businesses and consumers in our area.

That’s why we started our Painting the Town Green initiative. In 2008, we became the first auto body repair shop in Dallas to adopt waterborne painting systems. These paint systems eliminate up to 70 percent of volatile organic compounds, or VOCs, from the painting process. This provides cleaner air and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. With this step, we can improve the health of Dallas residents now and beyond.

Charitable Donations

For the past six decades, Herb’s has donated to organizations throughout the Dallas metroplex, including suburbs and rural communities. We currently support over 20 charitable groups, including the Boy Scouts of America, March of Dimes, Dallas Fire and Rescue, Search Ministries, and more. By donating our time and money to these groups, we can improve the community around us and teach others to do the same.

Educating Our Partners

Unlike some other auto bodies that want to avoid insurance claims, we consider insurance companies to be one of our partners. With our mutually beneficial relationship, we can help our customers in a fair, unbiased way.

To promote fair business practices and proper handling of insurance claims, we offer continued education classes to our insurance partners for free. This enables them to help you find the best course of action following an accident and get the auto body care or monetary compensation you’re entitled to.

No Texting and Driving Pledge

Texting and driving is a serious issue that causes one out of every four accidents and is the leading cause of fatalities among teen drivers. Due to these hazards, we’ve organized the No Texting and Driving Pledge, which holds drivers accountable for their actions. By teaching the dangers of cellphone use behind the wheel, we can create safer roadways for everyone.

At Herb’s Paint & Body, we want to give back to the community that’s been so good to us. We’ve been doing it for 60 years, and we hope to do it for 60 more.
