In January of 1956 Herb Walne began his career in the automotive repair business with the opening of a Humble Oil (Exxon today) service station at Northwest Highway and Easton Road in Northeast Dallas. His business grew to include a mechanical repair shop, automatic car wash and a body shop. In 1969, Exxon bought Herb’s service station and garage business and he moved his body shop to the current location of Herb’s #1 in Garland.
Today, we are proud to open our newest location, Herb’s at Love Field. Located on Mockingbird, west of Lemmon Avenue, our new shop will provide auto body repair for local residents as well as those flying out of Love Field. Business travelers and family vacationers can save time by leaving their car at Herb’s Love Field for repairs while out of town. Herb’s new shop will also service the Park Cities and Uptown area. Our partnership with Enterprise Rent-A-Car will provide customers with an added benefit by offering shuttle service to and from the airport – at no extra charge. Enterprise will also assist customers with car rental services.
All Herb’s locations are equipped with the most modern collision and refinishing equipment to insure an excellent finished product with complete customer satisfaction. Each Herb’s location has achieved I-Car Gold Class status, the highest standard of training in the collision industry. Herb’s enjoys an excellent reputation with the insurance industry and can handle your insurance claim with ease. In addition, Herb’s has been selected as a direct repair provider with many insurance companies to further streamline the repair process. Be sure to let your customer service representative at Herb’s know if your claim is insurance related. Remember, “Nobody Does Bodies Better Than Herb’s.” |
