In January of 1956 Herb Walne began his career in the automotive repair business with the opening of a Humble Oil (Exxon today) service station at Northwest Highway and Easton Road in Northeast Dallas. His business grew to include a mechanical repair shop, automatic car wash and a body shop. In 1969 Exxon bought Herb out of the service station and garage business and he moved his body shop to the current location at LBJ freeway and Garland Road. The building has undergone several additions and renovation, the last being in 1999.
